Fallout 3 is an RPG set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC developed by the same team that created the award-winning Oblivion. Players have complete freedom to create any kind of character they choose and then explore the open wastes of this destroyed city, facing off against Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders and other dangers of the Wasteland along their way.

The game takes place 200 years after a nuclear war has devastated humanity's modern world with only small pockets of survivors scattered throughout what remains.
