Empire: Total War is a video game set in the 18th century, a time of global conflict and technological advances. The game features Industrial Revolution, America's struggle for independence, trade routes and naval combat. In the game's 3D naval combat battles players can intuitively command entire fleets or single ships with water and weather effects factoring into success or defeat. Real-time battles add cannons and muskets to challenge players to master new formations and tactics due to increased role of gunpowder within warfare.
