BioShock Infinite is an action-adventure video game developed by Irrational Games and released in 2013. The player assumes the role of Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent sent to the floating city of Columbia to rescue a young woman named Elizabeth who has been imprisoned there since childhood.
