Mega Man Battle Network is a video game set in the future where a young net-battler named Lan uses his personal exploration terminal (PET) to hack into the network and battle against net crime. His PET, Mega Man.EXE, infiltrates the crime-ridden network to fight destructive computer viruses in real time. Players can collect over 175 Battle Chips which contain valuable weapons data and critical system info that help Lan and Mega Man.EXE restore peace and order to the network.
