Samurai Warriors 2 is an action-packed video game taking place in feudal Japan. The player takes control of 26 playable characters, including 10 new warriors such as Musashi Miyamoto, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and the ninja Kotaro Fuma. Samurai Warriors 2 is a hack and slash video game developed by Koei Tecmo for the PlayStation 2. It is the sequel to the original Samurai Warriors, and builds upon its predecessor with new characters, features, and gameplay elements.

The main feature of Samurai Warriors 2’s gameplay is that it removes traditional range attacks in favor of two unique special abilities per character. Characters have their own individual movesets which include both close-range combat as well as long-range attacks. The game also includes a Survival Mode where players can choose any character they wish and fight through an endless castle while collecting gold along the way. Additionally, up to four players can partake in this mode at once using different characters for each player.

One returning element from Samurai Warriors 1 is its Sugoroku mini-game which adds an extra layer of fun to the overall experience. In this mode, each participating player has to collect a predetermined amount of gold within a set time limit or risk losing their turn altogether should they fail to do so before then end date arrives.
