Rogue Galaxy is the newest invention of Dark Cloud series developer Level 5. It is a role-playing game that features a real-time battle system in an immersive world with unique characters and environments. The protagonist, Jaster, dreams of exploring the galaxy and is recruited into a band of space pirates on his quest to find the legendary planet known as "Eden" which holds eternal life and great treasures. On his journey he must explore many different worlds and face numerous battles while searching for clues leading him to Eden, though some secrets are best left undiscovered.

Rogue Galaxy is an action-packed role playing game set in a fantastical, futuristic universe. It takes the player through a continuous environment with no load time between exploring and battling. Combat encounters occur randomly while the player moves through the world, and feature a real-time hack and slash system that allows for three characters to be controlled during battle.

The player has direct control over one character at a time, but can swap out this character for any of the other two NPCs at any point during combat. The NPCs will fight according to their strategy prior to the battle - aggressive targeting of enemies, specific enemy targeting or not fighting altogether - but strategies can also be changed mid-battle by issuing orders directly from the player's character. Special abilities such as using items or activating special powers can also be requested from NPCs during combat.

With its unique blend of fantasy elements and real-time hack and slash combat system, Rogue Galaxy is sure to become an instant favorite amongst players looking for intense action within an excitingly different universe!
