S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is a first-person shooter video game that takes place shortly after the events of its prequel, S.T.A.L.K.E .R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, in which players explore an area known as The Zone - a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with mutated creatures and dangerous anomalies caused by the Chernobyl disaster that occurred 30 years prior to the game's setting..

The story follows Ukraine's Security Service sending their agent into The Zone center to investigate why the military operation failed when they attempted to take control of it using helicopters sent on a scouting mission for mapping out anomalous fields location beforehand . Alongside this investigation, players have other objectives such as gathering intelligence and finding resources while fighting off mutants and hostile factions who are also vying for control over The Zone center and its secrets held within it .

Players can choose from three different classes: Dutyer (soldier), Freedomer (freedom fighter) or Stalker (mercenary). Each class has unique abilities, weapons and equipment available for them in order to survive against enemies faced throughout their journey into The Zone Center , each having access to special items called artifacts which possess mysterious powers hidden away from plain sight . Weapons range from assault rifles to heavy machine guns ; however, ammunition isn't always easy come by so resource management becomes important when playing through this game if you wish not be left defenseless at any given time during your exploration

L K E R : Call Of Pripyat offers an intense experience full of action , suspense and mystery combined with RPG elements making it attractive even today nearly 11 years since its release back in 2009 where it still holds up well due being one most immersive FPS games ever created around an interesting premise involving mutant infested areas surrounding Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
