Overlord (2007)
In Overlord, the player takes on the role of a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of an evil, long-dead Overlord. The goal is to rise up and become the new all-powerful Overlord, with how much of a bad ass they want to be being entirely up to them. With plenty of black humor and dark irony, players will be immersed in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters. One key innovation in this game is its introduction of impish creatures known as Minions who believe you are the old Overlord reborn and follow your instructions no matter how dangerous it may be for them. Players actively control their horde throughout the game and must make use of their unique skills such as fetching or fighting for success.

All about game Overlord
Overlord is an action role-playing video game set in an alternate world where you take the role of a resurrected warrior known as The Overlord. As the Overlord, you will be able to control hordes of gremlin-like creatures called Minions who help you to reconquer lands and establish your lordship over its inhabitants.
The game features a corruption feature similar to that of Fable games, but allows for more evil choices which can affect different aspects of the story and gameplay. The Overlord is controlled in third person perspective while minions are controlled through real-time strategy mechanics and upgrades bring elements from role-playing games.
What sets this game apart from other fantasy settings it parodies is its use of dark humour throughout its narrative. This humorous twist on classic fantasy tropes gives players something different than what they would expect. It also adds a layer of complexity to decisions made within the game since some seemingly evil actions might have positive consequences while others may lead down darker paths with unforeseen negative consequences later on in the storyline.
Overall, Overlord is an innovative combination between traditional RPG elements and real-time strategy allowing players to explore their own morality as they play through this unique parody setting filled with dark humour that puts a new spin on classic fantasies tropes we’re all familiar with.
