Odin Sphere is a video game set in the world of Erion, where the various kings and queens watch each other for any signs of weakness. When Valentine is destroyed by an ancient artifact, it sparks a war between Ringford's fairies and Ragnanival's warriors, acting out an almost-forgotten prophecy that will lead to the destruction of the entire world. Players take control of warrior princess Gwendolyn as she unravels this prophecy and attempts to bring it to an end. Along her journey, players can play as five different characters whose fates are intertwined with one another. There is also a robust cooking and alchemy system which can be used to create powerful items for attacking enemies or recovering health points.
