Just Cause 2 is an open-world action-adventure video game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. Set in the fictional island of Panau, players assume the role of Rico Rodriguez, a covert operative working for The Agency. As stated in the text above, “In a lawless open-world paradise, use whatever means necessary to achieve your objective”; Just Cause 2 provides players with vast freedom allowing them to explore the world as they please.

The story revolves around Rico's mission to overthrow Pandak "Baby" Panay, the president of Panau. To do this he must gain control over its various factions while evading or fighting against government forces and other hostile groups on the island. Players are given access to a wide range of weapons that can be used to cause chaos throughout Panau ranging from pistols and assault rifles all the way up to rocket launchers and jetpacks!

Players are also able to utilize land vehicles such as cars and motorcycles or take advantage of watercrafts like boats for traveling across long distances quickly. Furthermore there is an array of aircraft available from helicopters and jets down to hang gliders which make navigating around different areas much easier.
