Players assume the role of GDI commando Captain Nick Havoc Parker, who is assigned to rescue three top Tiberium research specialists that have been abducted by the Brotherhood of Nod.

Players will travel all over the world conducting missions which take them through various countries and climates, both indoor and outdoor locations. Mission objectives are categorized into three categories: primary, secondary and tertiary objectives. Primary objectives must be completed for mission success while secondary objectives may assist with gameplay but are not required for completion; tertiary missions are hidden and do not necessarily help in gameplay but can affect your rank at the end of each mission.

As players progress through Renegade’s story they will discover that these experts were being forced into biochemistry research for a top secret project called Re-Genesis - an attempt to create genetically enhanced super-soldiers with help from Tiberium crystals. During their missions they will receive updates from EVA (Electronic Video Assistance) which logs all current mission status as well as provides information about new objectives as needed.

Ultimately it’s up to you as Captain Nick Havoc Parker to use your wit, cunning skillset, weapons arsenal at hand - plus whatever else you can find along your journey - to save these scientists from Nod's evil scheme before its too late!
