Contra is a classic action video game developed by Konami in 1987. Players take on the role of two commandos, Lance and Bill, tasked with infiltrating the base of Red Falcon organization to prevent them from conquering Earth. As they progress through 8 stages set in the jungle, players are armed with a machine gun and can capture upgraded weapons such as Fireball, Laser, Rapid Fire gun or Spread Gun to defeat enemies along their way. Ultimately it is up to Lance and Bill to save the world from Red Falcon’s plans for global domination.

Contra 4 is a 2D side-scrolling video game set two years after Contra III: The Alien Wars. Players take control of Bill and Lance as they team up to fight an alien invasion led by Black Viper. The game retains the classic style of gameplay from earlier titles, with players using futuristic weapons to battle aliens while avoiding hazards. One notable feature exclusive to Contra 4 is its use of both screens on the DS, allowing for larger environments and boss encounters. Additionally, it maintains the traditional two-player simultaneous play mode that has become a staple of the series.
