All about game X-Men: The Official Game
X-Men: The Official Game, also known as X3: The Official Game, is the tie-in video game to 2006’s X-Men movie “The Last Stand.” Developed by Activision and released across a variety of platforms in 2006, this action/adventure third person shooter accounts for events occurring between films “X2: X-Men United” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.”
Players take control of Wolverine, Iceman or Nightcrawler as they battle against classic foes such as Juggernaut, Pyro and Mystique while exploring new enemies within the franchise such as HYDRA. In addition to introducing villains never before seen in an X-Men film series (due to FOX not owning the rights), the game serves to bridge the gap between two movies; explaining why Nightcrawler was absent from ‘The Last Stand’ whilst providing insight into how Deadpool's Bob Agent of HYDRA fits into it all.
Touted for its expansive range of different levels that provide plenty of scope for experimentation with powers and weapons alike; missions are interspersed with character development which add depth to both story line and characters themselves. It can be played on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 ported by Z Axis Games; Nintendo GameCube ported by Hypnos Entertainment; Microsoft Windows porting done by Beenox Studios; Nintendo DS developed by Amaze Entertainment Inc.; or on Game Boy Advance engineered by WayForward Technologies LLC.
Overall players have found this game highly enjoyable due to its well balanced combination action/adventure elements along with ability to explore alternate endings depending on choices made throughout gameplay - making it a truly unique gaming experience within franchise!
