Valhalla Hills is a real-time strategy video game that gives players the chance to prove their Viking spirit and worthiness by leading their people up Valhalla Hills, overcoming all of the dangers along the way. Players will need to look after their Vikings, gathering food, chopping wood, and mastering the complex economics of wilderness survival in order to reach the portal at the top of each mountain and earn their reward from Odin.

The main objective in Valhalla Hills is for players to lead as many Vikings as possible up through different levels on side-scrolling maps while fighting off enemies such as trolls and giants. Alongside this combat element there are also resource management elements where players must ensure that they have enough resources such as food and wood for their journey. As well as this there are also trading elements which allow players to trade with other civilizations or merchants for goods or services that may be beneficial during their quest for glory.

The graphics within Valhalla Hills are quite cartoonish but still manage to capture some realistic looking environments including snow-covered mountainsides, dense forests filled with wildlife and treacherous waters inhabited by sea monsters. The gameplay itself is relatively straightforward but can become more challenging depending on how much effort you make into making sure your Vikings survive each level unscathed!
