Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is an alternate reality video game set in the time of World War II. In it, the Western Allies are pitted against the Soviet Union. The storyline takes a turn when, facing defeat, the Soviets go back in time to kill Albert Einstein and prevent his assistance to their enemies. This would have resulted in Soviet domination during that period had it not been for an unintended consequence - the creation of a third world power known as The Empire Of The Rising Sun.

The player must choose to play as one of several factions; each with its own unique style of warfare and strategies available. Players can engage in missions on land, sea or air and use various weapons such as tanks, submarines, ships and aircrafts depending on their faction's capabilities. A wide range of units can be deployed depending on what type of battle they face while special powers called 'superweapons' can also be used by players at strategic points throughout gameplay.

In addition to single-player campaigns there are options for both online co-operative play and competitive multiplayer battles allowing up to 8 players simultaneously over LAN networks or internet connections with support for voice chat functionality included too! As well as being able to take control of individual units you will also be able manage your base more efficiently by building structures that support resource gathering operations like constructing ore refineries and tech labs that allow access advanced military technology such as nuclear warhead production plants or superweapon launching sites!
