The Room is a unique and captivating puzzle game developed by British-based Fireproof Games. Released on the iOS platform in September 2012, it was later released for Android as part of a Humble Bundle in March 2013. The game has since gained widespread popularity among gamers of all ages due to its creative use of touchscreens to simulate physical actions and its intriguing story line.

Players take on the role of an unnamed researcher attempting to uncover the mystery behind Null, the fifth classical element. To do so, they must open a series of strange boxes by solving puzzles within them. This requires manipulating mechanisms such as keys, switches and levers using various motions enabled by mobile device touchscreens. As players progress through each box's puzzles, they are rewarded with notes that provide clues about the mysterious Null element.

The Room offers hours upon hours of challenging yet rewarding gameplay which encourages problem-solving skills and logical thinking; two important features which have contributed greatly to its success since release in 2012.
