Killzone (2004)
Killzone is a video game set in the future where human colonies have settled many planets, with most of them coming together to form the ISA. However, a separatist faction known as the Helghast has distanced itself and secretly planned an all-out war. The story follows an ISA member trying to escort a high-ranking official to safety when Vekta City’s orbital defense fails and the Helghast deploy their troops rapidly. Drawing inspiration from classical military conflicts of the 20th century, Killzone captures the intense reality of warfare between the ISA and Helghast forces.

All about game Killzone
Killzone is a beloved sci-fi first-person shooter that has been around for over a decade. It was developed by Guerrilla Games and released in November 2004 for the PlayStation 2, with later versions releasing on the PlayStation 3 and PSP. Although its online servers have since shut down, Killzone remains one of the most popular video games in its genre.
The game's stand-out feature is its four playable protagonists – Templar, Luger, Rico and Echo – each of whom has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. For example, Templar is an effective sniper while Rico specializes in close combat techniques; this allows players to choose characters that best fit their style of play. In addition to these main characters, there are also several supporting roles such as soldiers from both sides of the conflict (ISA vs Helghast), allowing gamers to experience more diverse gameplay styles as they progress through the story mode or multiplayer battles.
For those looking for even more intense action than what can be found within singleplayer mode, Killzone offers up to sixteen player online multiplayer matches across eight maps and six modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Assault Defend & Destroy Supply Drop Domination. Players could join either side (ISA or Helghast) as they compete against other gamers from all over the world in highly strategic firefights designed specifically for this purpose. The game’s robust server system allowed many people to simultaneously engage in intense battles without any lag issues whatsoever - something that would become increasingly difficult with future console generations due to hardware limitations/upgrades needed on newer systems like PS4/Xbox One etc..
Sadly though due to various reasons including declining player numbers (as well as lack of updates/new content additions) Guerrilla Games had no choice but shutdown both North American & European servers back in March 2012; which sadly marks end chapter 1 for Killzone franchise...perhaps we will see a return someday? Who knows!
