All about game Frequency
Frequency is an immersive musical gaming experience that combines four unique game modes, top hits from major bands in a variety of genres and stunning 3D graphics. Developed by Harmonix Music Systems and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Frequency was released for PlayStation 2 in November 2001.
The main objective of the game is to navigate through futuristic tracks filled with obstacles while collecting power-ups and bonus points along the way. Players control their ship using their controller's directional buttons or analog stick as they move between three different lanes on a track to collect notes that correspond to one of the four face buttons on their controller (X, O, Square or Triangle). As players progress through each level accumulating more points will allow them to unlock new songs and additional levels.
Players have the choice of playing either single player mode – where they attempt to beat other computer-controlled opponents - or two-player split screen mode – which allows players to compete against each other for high scores on any given track. In addition there are also Beat Frenzy and Remix modes available; Beat Frenzy offers endless gameplay allowing gamers to play at random sets based upon genre selection while Remix mode provides access to remixed versions of pre-existing songs featuring special sound effects like echo or distortion as well as tempo changes.
Frequency features over 40 licensed tracks from various artists including The Crystal Method, Deftones, Ministry Of Sound, Paul Van Dyk and Queens Of The Stone Age amongst others. Its impressive 3D visuals supplement these classic tunes providing an unforgettable audio/visual experience not seen before in any video game up until this point.
For music fans looking for something new Frequency certainly delivers; its innovative approach combining rhythm action gameplay with popular rock music makes it stand out from more traditional racing games whilst still maintaining its replayability value due its varied objectives within each level making sure even veteran gamers keep coming back again for more!
