The game provides players the ability to control the oceans with aircraft carriers, submarines and battleships as well as using their air force for defense, support naval/ground forces and bombing enemies. It also features an array of customizable options such as assigning troops to theatres on the map for two-front wars and a new economic system allowing players to buy weapons overseas. Furthermore, there are thousands of historically accurate real-world military commanders/politicians provided alongside an intelligent AI system that aids in command decision making while providing realistic interactions within the diplomatic/political system.
