Hearts of Iron III is a grand strategy video game developed by Paradox Interactive, set in World War II. Players can choose to play as any nation from 1936 to 1948 with more than 150 countries to choose from and over 10,000 land provinces making it five times more detailed than its predecessor Hearts of Iron 2. The game provides players the ability to control the oceans with aircraft carriers, submarines and battleships as well as using their air force for defense, support naval/ground forces and bombing enemies. It also features an array of customizable options such as assigning troops to theatres on the map for two-front wars and a new economic system allowing players to buy weapons overseas. Furthermore, there are thousands of historically accurate real-world military commanders/politicians provided alongside an intelligent AI system that aids in command decision making while providing realistic interactions within the diplomatic/political system.

Command & Conquer: The First Decade is a compilation of twelve C&C games, released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the franchise. It includes explosive warfare styles ranging from science fiction (Tiberium universe), revisionist history (Red Alert universe) and modern warfare (Generals). The protagonist Artyom, born before the fire but raised Underground, embarks on a mission to warn mankind of an impending threat. He must traverse from forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to desolate wastelands above where his actions will determine mankind's fate. Along his journey he must also contend with mutant horrors that await outside as well as other Metro Station-Cities struggling for survival amongst each other.

Battlefield 1942 is an action-packed first person shooter video game by Electronic Arts. Players are placed in the midst of a raging WWII battlefield and have access to 35 machines of war including vehicles, ships, and aircrafts. Set during some of the most famous battles of World War II, players can storm the beaches of Normandy, drive tanks through northern Africa deserts, pilot fighter planes at Midway or parachute into enemy territory with jeeps. Players must use their weapons and skills to fight against enemies on land, sea and air to win each battle.

Battlefield 1 is an intense and immersive first-person shooter game created by Electronic Arts. Empire: Total War is a video game set in the 18th century, a time of global conflict and technological advances. Day of Defeat is the latest online action experience from Valve, makers of Half-Life and Counter Strike. Set in WWII's European theater of war, players join an elite military squad to battle as a unit for victory. There are 10 new multiplayer maps with 15 total available for play, featuring authentic weaponry and various modes. New features include character models/animations, increased textures, particle effects and even a British soldier class option. Players can take on the role of snipers, infantry, machine gunner or rifleman to achieve success in this immersive first person shooter game.

Wolfenstein is an action-packed video game set in a near-fictional, historical WWII setting.
