All about game Folklore
Video game fans have had much to be excited about recently with the release of Folklore, a new action adventure title for PS3. The vision behind this exciting game is that of legendary game creator Yoshiki Okamoto (executive producer for Onimusha, Devil May Cry and Resident Evil).
Folklore places gamers in the roles of two protagonists – Keats and Ellen - who find themselves mysteriously drawn into the mysterious Netherworld. While there they must battle their way through various realms filled with all sorts of creatures and monsters while attempting to unravel an ancient mystery. As they progress, players will uncover hidden secrets and discover powerful weapons which can help them on their journey.
The unique feature that sets Folklore apart from other games is its use of ‘folks’; these are physical manifestations of emotions or feelings such as fear, anger or sadness which players can capture by using special abilities known as ‘septimal powers’. Once captured they can then battle against each other using a variety of moves including magical spells and attacks. This adds an interesting tactical element to the gameplay experience allowing players to customize their tactics according to how they want to fight in any given situation.
In addition to its innovative combat system, Folklore also boasts stunning visuals that bring its netherworld setting alive with vivid colors and detailed environments which look truly spectacular when played on high definition televisions. Combined with engaging characters voiced by top talent from Japan's anime industry it makes for a highly immersive experience sure to keep gamers entertained for hours at end!
Overall Folklore looks set to be another hit success story from Yoshiki Okamoto's talented team at Capcom - so make sure you don't miss out!
