All about game Fate/Extra
Fate/Extra is an intriguing dungeon crawl style Japanese role-playing game that takes place in a parallel universe to the visual novel Fate/stay night. Players start off by selecting their avatar, either male or female, and then choosing one of three Servants—Saber, Archer, or Caster—each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
Throughout the game players will have the opportunity to interact with other characters as well as view scenes that further advance the storyline. Furthermore, they can talk to their Servant in their room while gathering clues about who the enemy's servant might be. At the end of each day they enter into battle by entering The Arena; a dungeon where they fight monsters to gain experience points and strengthen their Servant’s abilities.
The turn-based battle system found within Fate/Extra is likened more so to rock-paper-scissors than your typical RPG combat – Attack overpowers Break, Break overpowers Guard and Guard overpowers Attack; all moves are lined up at the beginning of each turn for both player and opponent alike.
If you’re looking for an exciting new way to play a Japanese role playing video game you should definitely give Fate/Extra a try!
