The expansion centers around a brand new chapter in the Bhaalspawn saga, which reveals events that took place between Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II. Players will get to fight against a powerful enemy known as the Shining Lady who threatens to bring chaos and destruction upon Faerûn. Players can also explore various dungeons and locations, interact with characters from both games, collect items and equipment, customize their party members and more.

The long-awaited return of the classic Baldur's Gate series has finally arrived with the release of Siege of Dragonspear, an official expansion for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. Developed by Beamdog, this is the first new Infinity Engine game since 2002 and it serves as a bridge between Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.
Siege of Dragonspear takes place in between both games, adding 30 hours to the storyline. Players will find themselves embroiled in a conflict between an orc army led by a mysterious figure known only as “the Shining Lady” and the citizens of nearby cities who are fighting back against them. In addition to completing quests related to this story arc, players can also explore various locations such as ruins and dungeons that have been added specifically for this expansion.
In terms of gameplay enhancements, Siege of Dragonspear introduces several updates that refine its predecessor’s experience while still preserving its classic style. For example, there are now four difficulty settings which allow players to customize their challenge level according to their preferences; additionally, characters can now equip shields which add extra protection during combat encounters .
