Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey is the second entry in the popular Atelier series. This adventure follows the journey of two sisters, Firis Mistlud and her loving older sister Liane Mistlud, as they set out to explore a world beyond their isolated hometown of Ertona.

The game begins with Firis using her unique ability to see where crystals of materials are buried. Players must use this skill to gather resources that can be used for alchemy crafting recipes or sold at shops for money. Along their journey, players will visit towns, dungeons, caves and other locations filled with secrets awaiting discovery.

Players will also face off against various monsters during battles that take place on an action-driven field screen where characters move freely around enemies while attacking them strategically.
