Bleach: The Blade of Fate, also known as Bleach DS, is a 2D fighting game for the Nintendo DS. Players take on the role of one of 28 highly-stylized characters from the anime series and battle against a variety of opponents in intense action-packed battles. A unique feature of this game is its split-plane battle system that allows players to move between upper and lower planes in order to chase or escape opponents. Additionally, Spirit Card Decks are used strategically to access power-ups and special attacks like healing spells, displacement techniques, and prohibiting opponent use of their own cards. Up to four players can compete via Wi-Fi capabilities in fast-paced combat.
