The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where players create and play whatever character they can imagine. Players take on the role of a hero embarking on an epic quest, or a thief rising to leadership of their guild. Characters may be malevolent sorcerers developing spells of destruction or reverent healers searching for cures to plagues. The player's actions determine how their characters grow and evolve as events unfold in response to those actions. If the player confronts the assassin's guild, they will send out contracts against them; however if they impress them instead, then there is potential for recruitment into the guild instead.
