Kingdom Hearts is a video game which follows the story of Sora, Riku, and Kairi who are separated after a violent storm hits their home. At the same time turmoil in Disney Castle begins when King Mickey goes missing. Court Wizard Donald and Captain Goofy set out to find him and along their travels they meet Sora who is also on his own search for his lost friends. It's discovered that creatures known as Heartless - beings without hearts derived from an unknown dimension - are responsible for the devastating storm as well as being manipulated by Disney villains. With help from familiar Disney heroes, Sora, Donald and Goofy join forces to save everyone's worlds.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is an action role-playing video game released by Square Enix in 2004. Players control Sora, Donald and Goofy as they search for their missing companions across many vast and colorful worlds. This game sets the stage for Kingdom Hearts II, which follows a similar story line with new characters and gameplay elements. The game features card-based battle system mechanics that allow players to customize their decks with attack cards, special moves and defense mechanisms such as "Reaction Commands".
