It follows protagonist Adol Christin as he returns to his hometown of Redmont to discover that it has been taken over by an evil group led by Duke Fernand. With the help of his friends Dogi and Elena, Adol embarks on a quest to save Redmont and its people from danger. Along the way, he encounters many enemies, solves puzzles, and finds new weapons and equipment which can be used to defeat them. The game features real-time battles with fast paced action along with platforming elements for exploration. It also includes voice acting for characters in cutscenes as well as various mini-games such as fishing or treasure hunting.
