Developed by Polyphony Digital, the same team behind Gran Turismo 4, Tourist Trophy was released in 2006 as one of only four PS2 titles capable of 1080i output. Players are given the opportunity to race on motorcycles from some of the biggest names in motoring including Honda, Yamaha, Ducati and Kawasaki across 10 different tracks around Japan including Mount Haruna and Suzuka Circuit.

The game features a unique semi-pro mode that allows players to experience motorcycle racing like never before with realistic physics that take into account real-world factors such as wind resistance and rider fatigue along with more basic elements like acceleration and braking power. With over 60 customizable bikes available for purchase or upgrade at any time during gameplay, gamers can truly customize their ride down to every last detail – from engine performance upgrades all the way down to cosmetic changes like paint jobs and decals.

The NTSC edition also includes seven extra motorcycles compared with its Japanese counterpart plus new riding gear options while PAL version offers two additional motorcycles plus five new background music tracks from European artists Infadels, Vitalic and Hystereo – giving fans even more reason to get out on their virtual bikes!
