All about game Strider 2
Strider 2 is a side-scrolling action game developed by Capcom and released in 2000 for arcades and PlayStation. It is considered to be the true sequel to Strider, rather than the widely disliked Strider Returns. The game was well received upon its release, but unfortunately it did not sell particularly well due to poor marketing and distribution.
Players take control of Hiryu, the hero from the original game, as he once again embarks on a quest through Soviet Russia in order to stop Grand Master Meio's evil plans. Gameplay consists of platforming sections where Hiryu must use his acrobatic skills and sword attacks in order to defeat enemies while progressing further into each stage. Additionally, power-ups can be found throughout levels that increase Hiryu’s abilities such as higher jumps or stronger sword swings.
The PlayStation version of Strider 2 included an extra disc with the original arcade version of Strider so players who had never played it before could become familiarized with this classic series entry. Unfortunately there was a printing error for this version which swapped the labelling on both discs; instead of having “Strider 2” written on one CD it said “Strider” and vice versa for the other disc labelled with “Strider 2". Despite these small issues however, fans have praised Striders 2 as being an enjoyable experience that remains faithful to its predecessor while still offering up new gameplay elements that add replay value – something fans greatly appreciated back when it originally launched 20 years ago!
