Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is a fast-paced futuristic sports game from the early 1990s. Initially released in 1989 for the Amiga, Atari ST and Commodore 64 systems, it was later ported to MS-DOS and various other platforms. The objective of Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is to score more goals than your opponent by using any means necessary.

The game takes place on a steel walled floor pitch that measures 160 feet long by 90 feet wide. There are two teams, each with nine players plus one goalkeeper, competing against each other to score the most goals within a set period of time (usually three minutes). In order to score points you must use either the warp tunnels located at either side of the pitch or hit targets with the ball which will award bonus points as well as increasing your team’s ‘brutality’ level.

The graphics and sound have been greatly improved in this version compared to its predecessor - it now has VGA graphics and Sound Blaster sounds. This makes for an even more immersive experience when playing Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe – not only do you get great visuals but also some fantastic audio effects too!
