In Ray Gigant, the player follows a story set in the not-too-distant future. Earth's major cities have been devastated by creatures known as Gigants and military forces from every nation were unable to protect them. One day, a boy named Ichiya Amakaze was able to defeat one of these monsters using a mysterious power called Yorigami. Unfortunately, he lost control of his power and ended up destroying the city he tried so hard to protect. After this event, he was detained and taken away for safety reasons where his fate will soon be determined. The game follows Ichiya's journey as he attempts to use his newfound powers responsibly and save humanity from extinction by fighting off the invasion of Gigants.
