"Nikoli's Pencil Puzzle," created by Nikoli Co., Ltd in Japan, is a series of four challenging puzzle games designed to engage the minds of gamers. Since its inception over thirty years ago, these classic pencil puzzles have become some of the most popular and enjoyable ways to pass time for all ages. The four main types of Nikoli's Pencil Puzzles are Sudoku, Hashiwokakero, Shikaku, and Akari.

Sudoku is a grid-based logic game where players must fill in each row and column with numbers from one to nine so that they only appear once within each 3x3 box. It’s an easy way for gamers to sharpen their problem-solving skills while having fun at the same time.

Hashiwokakero is another type of logic puzzle which requires players to draw bridges between islands on a grid map so that every island has exactly one bridge connecting it with another island or shoreline tile. This game offers more advanced levels as well as two player mode which can make it even more exciting!

Shikaku is also known as "Rectangle Division" or "Divide & Conquer." Players must use logical reasoning skills to divide rectangles into smaller pieces using horizontal and vertical lines without overlapping them or leaving any spaces open - making it quite tricky! Akari (also called Light Up) consists of cells arranged on a rectangular board with clues showing how many lights should appear in each row and column; then you have to place lightbulbs into empty squares in order to light up every cell according to those clues – no cell can be left unlit!
