NHL 2K10 is the latest installment in the NHL 2K series developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. As a hockey simulation game, it was released on September 15th 2009 for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2. Popular sports commentators Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda reprise their roles from NHL 2K9 to provide commentary for this iteration of the game.

The main draw of NHL2K10 is its realistic gameplay that mimics real ice-hockey matches as closely as possible. It features more than 250 teams from various leagues around the world including Europe’s Elite Division, North America’s Minor League Hockey and Russia's Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The player can also customize their own team with authentic logos or create a fictitious one entirely from scratch. Furthermore, players are able to simulate entire seasons with up-to-date stats tracking each individual player's progress throughout the season.

In addition to these core features, there are several other modes available such as Playoff Mode which allows users to experience all aspects of an entire Stanley Cup playoff run; Dynasty Mode where users take control of an existing franchise or create their own; Mini Rink mode – a 4 vs 4 match played on condensed rinks–and Shootout mode where two players compete head-to-head in penalty shots against each other’s goalkeeper in order to decide who will be crowned champion!

There has been no further release in the series since 2011 due to low sales figures but it remains one of the most popular hockey simulations ever made thanks to its commitment towards providing an accurate representation of professional ice hockey games.
