It features an exciting cinematic story centered around trust and deceit, as Fire God Liu Kang seeks to secure his vision of the future by enlisting help from allies and foes alike. Players will have to decide who they can trust in order for fate to be preserved. This edition also includes four new playable fighters- Sheeva, Fujin, RoboCop, and Dead or Alive- stage fatalities where players can use their environment against opponents, friendships allowing for friendly finishers between all roster members, and two brand-new stages: Kronika's Keep and Soul Chamber as well as the classic Dead Pool stage and RetroKade featuring favorites from MKI-III.

This new entry brings back some familiar faces, along with a brand new cinematic narrative centered around trust and deceit. Players will be able to join forces with Mortal Kombat alumni Fujin and Sheeva, as well as guest character RoboCop making his series debut.

The story of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath picks up right where the original MK11 left off, continuing its critically acclaimed narrative campaign. The epic saga follows Liu Kang's journey to restore order to Earthrealm following Shinnok's invasion at the end of MKX. However, more turmoil awaits Liu Kang as he must now contend with Shang Tsung and his allies who are looking to take control of all realms by harnessing an ancient power known as Kronika’s Hourglass.
