Metroid Dread introduces some major changes compared to its predecessor games in the series. For starters, players now have access to a map feature which allows them to easily keep track of where they've been and make sure they don't miss any valuable items or secrets hidden throughout each level. Additionally there are various powerups scattered across ZDR which give Samus special abilities such as increased movement speed or improved weapon effectiveness – making exploration even more rewarding!
