LittleBigPlanet 2 is a puzzle platformer video game that builds upon the success of its predecessor, LittleBigPlanet. Developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for PlayStation 3, this sequel to the series was released in January 2011.

The core concept behind LittleBigPlanet 2 remains unchanged from the original: players take control of Sackboy (or other customizable characters) and explore user-generated levels while completing puzzles and collecting items. The game has evolved significantly since its first installment though, introducing features such as an expanded level editor with improved physics simulation, more powerful creative tools, new playable character types called “Sackbots”, a "Story Mode" featuring story-driven levels designed by Media Molecule themselves and much more.
