In the world of video games, Jak X: Combat Racing is a unique and exciting racing game. Developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 2 console, it was released in 2004. The premise of the game is that after saving Haven City from a series of disasters, Jak and Daxter are poisoned and forced to compete on an international car-racing circuit as per Krew's will. Players take control of one of twelve customizable vehicles with unique handling characteristics as they race across twenty tracks in eight different terrain arenas.

Players have access to an array of power-ups throughout the races which can give them an edge over their opponents – these include projectile weapons, mines, ranged weapons, turbo boosts, shields and smart bombs. As well as single player mode there’s also local offline multiplayer for two players using split screen or online multiplayer with up to five other players where all game types are available just like in single player mode but AI opponents are replaced by human players instead.
