One of the most prominent features in Illbleed are its unconventional cinematics which add another layer of surrealism to the already bizarre plotline. The characters are often seen speaking lines from classic horror films such as Frankenstein or Night Of The Living Dead while engaging in over-the top cartoon violence against grotesque monsters - all presented with intentionally campy voice acting and sound effects reminiscent of those found in low budget slasher flicks from the 1970s & 80s .
