Heroes of Might and Magic IV: The Gathering Storm is an adventure video game in which five heroes must stop a mad wizard named Hexis from taking control of the realms of Nature and Death. This has caused natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and storms to spread across the kingdom of Devonshire and beyond. To save their own kingdom and all other lands affected by Hexis' power, the five heroes embark on a quest to defeat him in six entirely new campaigns.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV: The Gathering Storm is an expansion pack for the turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic IV, developed by New World Computing in 2002. It was released by the 3DO Company shortly after its initial release. With this expansion comes a host of new features, including six campaigns, more than 20 maps, 16 additional artifacts, four new creatures and a multiplayer update.
The first five campaigns each feature a new specialty hero that allows players to customize their gaming experience as they play through the storylines.
