Since its release in 2002, Guilty Gear X2 has become a beloved fighting game among fans of the genre. Developed by Arc System Works and published by Sammy Studios, this title is also known as Guilty Gear XX and subtitled The Midnight Carnival in Japan. It was the third installment of the Guilty Gear series and it furthered both its plot and gameplay mechanics.

The new additions to this installment included several characters who had never been seen before. Among them were Bridget (a young boy with amazing acrobatics skills) and Jam Kuradoberi (a strong-willed fighter who specializes in martial arts). These two characters alone made that game stand out from other titles at the time due to their unique movesets and overall play styles.

Gameplay wise, Guilty Gear X2 featured some improvements over its predecessor such as an increased number of combo moves for each character, improved graphics engines which allowed for more detailed visuals when compared to previous entries, as well as various balancing changes meant to make battles even more competitive than they already were.

On top of all these great features though, what truly made this game stand out from others was its incredible soundtrack composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari; whom managed to perfectly capture the spirit of a classic arcade fighter with his compositions which can still be found being played today during tournaments around the world.

All things considered, it’s no wonder why almost 20 years after its initial release this title remains one of most popular games within its genre; being praised not only for how good it looks or sounds but also because how much fun playing it can be thanks to all great features present on it.
