Grandia III is an epic Japanese role-playing video game where the fate of the world hangs in balance. Yuki, a young boy who dreams of one day leaving his small island and reaching the mainland, idolizes legendary pilot Schmidt and has been trying to build his own ever since. Alfina is a Communicator, one of few who can speak with protecting gods known as Guardians. Resentment for her obligated duty turns Emelious into a cruel being filled with hate. As both characters meet due to fate's doing, they must work together to save the world from destruction before it falls apart completely.

Grandia III is a role-playing video game developed by Game Arts and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 2 console. Featuring an exciting blend of action, adventure, and turn-based combat, Grandia III immerses players in a captivating story set in a fantasy world where technology has allowed man to fly in magic-powered aircraft. Players take on the role of Yuki, a young boy determined to become a great pilot like his idol, Sky Captain Schmidt.

The game starts when Yuki and his mother encounter Alfina, a girl with extraordinary powers that allow her to commune with spiritual guardians of the world. With Alfina’s help they soon find themselves embroiled in an epic quest to uncover the secrets of their planet's past—a journey that leads them into conflict against Xorn, an evil rogue guardian seeking domination over all living creatures.

Throughout Grandia III’s extensive storyline players will explore vast areas filled with dungeons and enemies as well as engaging characters whose personal stories intertwine with Yuki’s own adventures .Gameplay focuses heavily on strategic battles which require careful positioning for success against powerful opponents. The unique ‘IP Gauge’ system adds additional depth; allowing players to build up their IP points before unleashing devastating attacks or special moves known as “hyper arts". Additionally each character can learn different skills depending on how they are equipped which opens up new strategies during battle.
