Fallout 4: Far Harbor is an add-on content to the Fallout 4 game. It takes players on a search for a young woman and secret colony of synths off the coast of Maine, to the mysterious island of Far Harbor. The island has higher levels of radiation that have created a more feral world with conflicts between the synths, Children of Atom, and townspeople. Players must navigate their way through this conflict while gaining access to new settlements, quests, dungeons, creatures and weapons/armor that become increasingly powerful as they progress through the game. Ultimately it is up to them how they wish to resolve these issues - at what cost?

The player must navigate through escalating tensions between synths, local townspeople, and followers of Atom in order to find out what happened to the missing girl and protect those who live on Far Harbor from harm.
This expansion offers more content than ever before with its largest landmass yet, offering new faction quests, settlements, dungeons and creatures for players to explore. In addition there are also higher-level weapons and armor available so that gamers can make themselves even stronger against enemies they may encounter during their quest.
