The game follows the thong-tastic adventures of a misguided hero named DeathSpank, who first appeared on writer Ron Gilbert's Grumpy Gamer website in a series of animated comics he penned with long-time creative collaborator, Clayton Kauzlaric.

In the game, players join DeathSpank in his quest to find an ancient artifact known as "The Artifact". Along the way, they will battle monsters and solve puzzles while looting treasure from dungeons.
