Deathsmiles is an intense bullet-hell shoot-'em-up game developed by CAVE. In Deathsmiles, players take on the role of one of five Angels to defend the magical land of Gilverado from a demonic invasion! As you fly through the air and dodge hordes of bullets being fired at you, it's up to you to eradicate this devilish assault.

The gameplay in Deathsmiles involves navigating your Angel character through levels filled with enemies firing off hundreds of bullets at a time. You must quickly maneuver around these projectiles while also shooting down enemies before they can hit you or cause damage to your surroundings. The challenge lies in both avoiding enemy fire and using your own weapons effectively against them-- all within limited time frames for each stage.

Deathsmiles features five different playable characters: Sakuya, Francesca, Rosa, Walnut, and Mifuyu. Each character has their own unique abilities that can be used strategically during combat such as double jumps and special attacks like bombs which create deadly explosions that wipe out multiple enemies at once.
