Cossacks II: Battle for Europe is an add-on to the renowned Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars game. It allows players to experience the historic period of the Napoleonic wars, when Europe was divided into small states and empires formed. The game provides mass-scale battles between thousands of soldiers from France, Britain, Austria, Russia, Prussia, Egypt and three other nations not present in the original game - Spain, Grand Duchy of Warsaw (Poland) and Confederation of Rhine. It reconstructs in detail uniforms worn by troops along with their weapons and architecture of each nation. Over 180 units are featured as well as 190 buildings and 1200 flora & fauna elements in this real time strategy video game. The combat system takes into account peculiarities of early 19th century warring such as value of formations, provisions & troop morale while a realistic bullet & cannonball ballistics based on physics has been added to its engine for more innovative gaming experience.

It comes with several new nations to play as and expands upon the multiplayer battle capabilities of its predecessor. Players have the opportunity to explore vast landscapes from 19th century Europe while commanding armies of more than 10,000 men in real-time strategy combat scenarios.

The game is set during the period between 1792 and 1815 when Napoleon Bonaparte was attempting to conquer all of Europe. Players are able to choose from one of seven different playable nations that include Austria, Prussia, Great Britain, France, Russia, Turkey and Egypt. Each nation has their own unique units such as artillery pieces or light infantry which can be used in battle against other players either online or through LAN connection.
