The story behind Catherine Classic follows Vincent Brooks – a 32 year old man who finds his life suddenly thrown into chaos when he encounters two women who both claim to love him: Katherine McBride; his long-time girlfriend whom he loves but is afraid of commitment, and the mysterious (and possibly supernatural) beauty named “Catherine” who appears one night after a drunken binge at Stray Sheep bar. As if things couldn't get any worse for poor Vincent, nightmares begin plaguing him; forcing him to climb up towering walls of blocks while being chased by nightmarish creatures in order survive.

To make your way through these levels unscathed requires quick thinking and careful strategy - all while struggling with moral choices which affect how the game progresses and ultimately ends. With three different endings available depending on player decisions throughout the course of the game, there are plenty of possibilities waiting just around every corner!
