Tales of Xillia 2, the sequel to the popular video game Tales of Xillia, is an action role-playing game developed by Bandai Namco Games. The story takes place one year after the events in Tales of Xillia and follows two new protagonists: Elle Mel Marta and Ludger Will Kresnik.

The game begins with Elle being given a mission from her father to board a train and find the Land of Canaan. However, before it even departs, her train is hijacked and Ludger boards it to save her. Unfortunately, their efforts are in vain as the train crashes due to mysterious circumstances. Fortunately for them both, they receive life-saving treatments from Clanspia Inc., which puts Ludger into debt due to its expensive cost. In order for him pay off his debt quickly enough he accepts a job from Clanspia Inc., who intend on using his Kresnik powers to destroy alternative timelines because Origin can no longer sustain all of these different worlds.

At first, his only goal was to pay off this debt but along the way he also searches for his brother Julius Will Kresnik who has been blamed for hijacking Elle’s train originally and causing this entire mess in the first place -– making it every bit as much an adventure as it is a quest for repayment! Players will explore many diverse locations throughout Elympios while battling monsters with powerful weapons such as swords or guns; so there's something here that appeals even if you're not particularly interested in RPGs (role playing games).
