Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike is a video game set in a post-apocalyptic world, where the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC) has seized control of mainland Europe. Players must engage in fierce close-quarters infantry battles along claustrophobic city streets and narrow rocky passes to push back the enemy forces. The game features three new maps set in Europe, two new vehicles designed for infantry combat, increased persistence with ten new rewards and unlock items, Epic Titan mode available on two maps, and tweaked Conquest-assault gameplay (Assault Lines game mode). It offers an intense all-out war experience that will challenge players to their limits.

Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike is the first expansion pack to Dice's popular Battlefield 2142 game. This expansion brings new maps, vehicles and weapons for gamers to use while playing this classic shooter title.

The four new maps included in the expansion are Strike at Karkand, Operation Blue Pearl, Shuhia Taiba and Eurora Borealis. These battlefields provide a unique experience compared to those found in the original game as they feature different objectives and environments. Players can also look forward to various weather conditions such as snowstorms or sand storms which add an extra level of realism.

Northern Strike also introduces several new weapons including a heavy machine gun, anti-aircraft missile launcher, sniper rifle and assault rifle. In addition, players have access to three additional ground vehicles; an APC (armored personnel carrier), transport truck and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). Lastly there is one additional air vehicle that players can control - the VN-4 Prowler fighter jet.
