BattleBlock Theater is a popular video game developed by The Behemoth. In the game, players take on the role of a prisoner who is forced to play through various games devised by the nefarious Hatty Hattington. The controls are simple and intuitive, with gameplay largely consisting of running, jumping and punching.

The levels in BattleBlock Theater feature an array of blocks such as collapsing blocks, sticky walls, bouncy volcanic rocks and deadly spikes. Players must use these elements to their advantage while avoiding hazards such as water and deadly creatures that roam the levels. To progress through each level players need to collect gems which can be found scattered throughout or earned from completing objectives set out at the start of each level.
